How long do I have to use the check that MAF issued to me?

The checks MAF issues do not have an explicit expiration date. With that said, we highly recommend using the check within six months of the issue date. If your check is six or more months past its issue date, it may be rejected by USCIS and delay the processing of your application.  

If you are concerned that your check may be several months past its issue date at the time USCIS receives it, we can issue you a new check. You can email us at [e-mail] with your full name, check number, and your current mailing address. This will enable us to void your original check and issue you a new check.
